Monolith, sphere
and rock table tops for the theatre.

An industrial monolith topped with a sphere and lower forms with a rock texture. We made the elements to an external scenery concept. The monolith and sphere were made from fibreglass, painted and delivered to the theatre as a finished decoration.

Our work on this project: Making the fibreglass monolith and sphere, painting and delivery of the finished element. Also rock tops. External concept.

A rock form.
Industrial detail.

The monolith combines an irregular rock surface with a sphere and industrial accents. Its shape followed the client's design. We made the fibreglass monolith and sphere and painted them.

Preparing the monolith took a week. We delivered the finished element to the client to become part of the theatre scenery.

Rock tops
for the same scenery.

Besides the monolith with a sphere, we also made lower rock tops using our technology. The photograph shows them alongside the theatre decoration being prepared.

A shared surface character connects the tall and lower forms. If your scenery requires a set of elements, we can discuss their appearance and relative proportions based on the design.

Will you make an element to a set designer's design?

Yes. The monolith with a sphere was made to an external concept. Please send drawings, dimensions and appearance requirements so we can discuss execution.

What were the monolith and sphere made from?

We made both elements from fibreglass and painted them. The additional rock tops were made using our technology. We agree materials and requirements for further decorations according to the design.

How long did preparation take?

Making the monolith took a week. The finished element was delivered to the client. We will agree the deadline for another set of decorations based on the number of forms, dimensions and finish.

What determines the quotation?

The size and number of elements, complexity of their shape, texture and finish, and the scope of on-site work. We discuss transport and installation alongside the project. Please send dimensions, photographs of the space and your planned date so we can define the specific scope.

What should I send to get started?

Please send the set designer's design, element dimensions and delivery deadline. We will discuss shape, material, texture and painting, and how to deliver the finished decorations to the theatre.
