Waterfall at EDEKA Supermarkets

At StoneDeco, we always try to realise projects that go beyond the standard ideas of interior design. One such unusual project was the realisation of a rock waterfall in a supermarket belonging to the German chain EDEKA. This unusual project proves that artificial rocks can be used even in the most unexpected places.

Unusual Design

The rock waterfall, which has become the central decorative element in the market, is an example of a unique approach to the design of a retail space. Its presence in such a place, where haste and routine dominate everyday life, introduces an element of nature and tranquillity. This realisation was a unique challenge for us, which ended successfully, giving the interior of the shop a unique character.

Adapting to the Architecture and Environment

The rock we designed is just under 10 m² in size and has been covered in a brick-red colour, which was intended to relate to the architecture and surroundings of the town in which the supermarket is located. The colour scheme and form of the artificial rock were carefully chosen to harmonise with the local architectural style, creating a coherent whole with the surroundings.

Comprehensive technical solutions

Our work was not limited to making the rock itself. As part of the implementation, we also designed and made the water tank and provided all the necessary equipment to operate the waterfall. This was necessary to ensure that the installation was fully functional and aesthetically pleasing. As a result, the waterfall not only looks impressive, but also works reliably.
